Cosmic Circus Music from Goettingen played some extremely long spacey improvisations in the manner of the early Ash Ra Tempel. Despite never releasing anything officially, Cosmic Circus Music were a truly great krautrock band, arguably up there with the masters.
Gila / Gila – Free Electric Sound

A much sought-after classic featuring a Mellotron – the first pressing is meanwhile traded at about € 400 in mint condition. It is the first LP by Gila, neatly recorded in Dieter Dierks’ studio in Stommeln in the summer of 1971. The album is largely instrumental and tremendous.
Gila / Night Works

This disc offers the only known recording of the first version of Gila, a group that gigged constantly to build a considerable reputation as a formidable live act. Taken from a live Cologne radio broadcast from February 26, 1972 (a few months before the group’s demise), Night Works is all that one could hope for, long space rock acid jamming and much better fidelity than one would get from a recording by an audience member. Swirling organ tones and acid guitar burnouts surge out of the throbbing rhythm section.
Guru Guru / Essen 1970

The 3rd Essen Pop & Blues Festival took place in the Gruga Hall between 22 and 25 October 1970, featuring bands such as Guru Guru, Xhol, Embryo, Fotheringhay, East of Eden, Q 65, Gun, Quiver and Taste. Roland Verheyen, a staff member of promoter Konrad Mallison, recorded the entire festival directly from the soundboard.
