Release notes

Seminal ’79 NYC PUNK, RARE ORIGINAL PRESSING!!! Last copies!!!!! A fixture in the Max’s Kansas City/CBGB’s circuit, they have the unique distinction of being the ONLY non-Misfits/Danzig band to be on the Plan 9 label!

The band formed in 1976, originally as a trio, recorded a fantastic four-track EP released in 1978 on the Misfits’ label, “Plan 9,” featuring the following lineup: Richard “Rick” Riley (vocals, harmonica), Barry “Bee ” Ryan (guitar), Steve Berman (bass), and Jim Alexander (drums). Rick Riley would go on to play guitar with the Misfits at two shows.

The only album by the Victims “Real Wild Child ” is released in 1979 on Golden Disc, establishing itself as an essential missing link in the Dolls/Heartbreakers canon, with R’N’R vibes (they even cover Davie Allan’s Blues Theme!)

A fucking deadly huge Punk Rock record, totally overlooked !!.. with the incredible “I Want Head”,  “Nothin’ Of My Own”, “Too Late”, “(Gotta Find A) Substitute” !!!!

Bands with the names Victims are often too good !.. thinking of the Aussie one from Perth…
