Side 4 was recorded live in Adelaide in 1978.
All the songs were recorded in 1978.

“The Joke’s On Us” EP (1978) has been critically regarded as “the only genuine Melbourne punk record issued in 1978,” this 6-track debut is celebrated for its uncompromisingly fast tempo. The band famously admitted their goal was to “crank everything up as loud as possible, and then try and race each other to the end of the song,” completely eliminating complex guitar solos.
